And the journey begins..

Through the hallowed portals of IIM Bangalore :)

Shipwrecked, confused, swayed by distractions, vision totally blurred,.. but now who cares because this is going to be the best roller coaster ride to enjoy every moment in the coming 2 years and just live to the fullest!

Bangkok!!

Its pretty interesting to see how things automatically fall into their place. A major freak-out before beginning the rigorous academic life at IIM Bangalore was a must and giving the CFA with just 3 weeks of preparation would have resulted in a same screw-up, whether given in Bangalore or Bangkok. So prior cancellation of CFA in India turned out to be a blessing in disguise of a big pain :). No care for the exam results now but the Bangkok experience was all worth it!

Bangkok = unusually cheaper star hotels + thousands of sky scrapers + terribly big and amazing malls + worst traffic jams + a typical south east asian and buddhist cultural touch. I had a painful eating experience and learnt it the hard way that never eat the stuff which those south east asian (and Japanese/Korean) people eat. Once in a good looking fish I tasted something so crappy that I had to spit it out and another time a fish dipped in neat rum wasn't a thing worth tasting also. So basically KFC/McD/BurgerKing mein khaao, khush ho jaao. One thing I specially liked all the time was hearing the Thai girls speak in English, for that stretch they give to last syllables. Even though I had no enthu for shopping, one full day of walking in that shopping paradise was all worth it. Walking or catching the sky-trains was the only way to roam around during most of the day time due to the massive traffic jams in the city. I wonder how people in Bangkok get used to travelling at 1km/hr in their cars. Such a traffic jam with more than 80% cars of Merc, BMW or Toyota is worth seeing as well ;). At the Suvarnabhumi airport, the long walk between the immigration and departure gates seemed exactly like a walk in the malls. I also learnt that if its an international flight, ask for more bottles of red wine; it surely helps to remain in a non-boring state for the long flying time :).
